Valentine’s Day tends to sneak up on us. As soon as the New Year arrives, it’s practically a month away. You may be looking for an incredible place to take your Valentine this year. The good news: South Florida has it all. Palm trees, blue skies, sunny days, ocean views, and the yummiest eateries. I can assure you SoFlo will not disappoint.

I am really excited to take you on a brief, virtual journey through some charming restaurants that I believe will leave a lasting impression on your Valentine.

Check out the list below and share this with a friend!

1. Dada

The epitome of eclectic, Dada is located in the heart of downtown Delray beach inside of a historic home built in the 1920s. Dada prides itself in being its own version of cool. It’s no wonder there is so much acclaim about Dada, with its eclectic style and amazing food. You’ll want to stay for hours. Hurry and make your reservations now!

2. KOMODO MIAMI

Komodo is a one-of-a-kind experience everyone must try. Located in Brickell, the financial hub of Miami, Komodo has certainly built a name for itself. If you’re looking for impeccable Asian cuisine matched with vibrant, edgy decor – this is the place. Make reservations fast and early, and dress to impress.

3. Restoration Hardware “RH”

Oh gosh, where do I start? RH (formerly Restoration Hardware) is a high-end furniture store with a stunning rooftop restaurant that is truly the talk of the town. What makes RH so spectacular are the stunning views of downtown West Palm Beach and the heavenly lighting coming from the skylights above. Not to mention, the furniture is comfortable and the food is scrumptious. We were there for several hours! (Psst: You may be familiar with RH, as I featured them in the Best Burgers of South Florida blog post!) Hurry and make your reservations, this couldn’t be more perfect for Valentine’s Day dinner!

4. Rusty Pelican

The best of Biscayne Bay, hands down. It is absolutely breathtaking and this will be a night to remember. If I am honest, the view is actually better than the food. (I’d give the food 3.5 stars out of 5 on Google). However, this place is simply iconic due to its gorgeous views of the downtown Miami skyline. Consider this one of those “you gotta try it once” type of place.

5. Latitudes

Whenever visitors are in town looking for an oceanfront restaurant, I immediately think of Latitudes. Located in Highland Beach (nestled between Boca Raton and Delray Beach) this eaterie is just jaw-dropping beautiful and the seafood is phenomenal. You’ll be in awe of the Atlantic Ocean views! Latitudes is also attached to the Delray Sands Resort and they offer valet parking. This is an absolute must-try!

6. Zuma

Zuma is a modern Japanese Izakaya restaurant in downtown Miami. Izakaya is very similar to tapas, all the meals are essentially shareable entrees and sides (sharing is optional of course). Zuma is located inside the EPIC hotel and it is highly acclaimed for its food and ambiance. The location is right on the Miami River, so you will certainly see yachts of all sizes parked right out front. A Valentine’s Day dinner to remember!

7. Oceanic

Oceanic, a super chic oceanfront seafood and steakhouse right on the Pompano Beach Pier. Absolutely beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean certainly sets the tone for a lovely date day or evening. An excellent choice for Valentine’s Day!

8. Lionfish

Lionfish is a hot sensation right now, located on Atlantic Ave in the bustling Delray Beach. Beachy and boho vibes adorn this lovely seafood restaurant. You absolutely have to try the “Tableside Hot Rocks” with the Wagyu beef and, of course, their Whole Fried Lionfish. Our favorite dessert here is the “Message in the Bottle Sundae”. Pure yum and pure beauty, definitely make your reservations quickly!

9. The Wine Room

The Wine Room is in the bustling action of downtown Delray. The Wine Room has over 200 wines and 100 artisanal cheese – so if wine and charcuterie are your thing, this is THE place. Taste wine from all over the world using their “Enomatic Wine Tasting System.” Simply grab your wine glass and go to the dispensary and choose your serving amount (sip, half glass, full glass). A super cool and unique concept! Aside from the wine, the food here is actually their secret sauce (in my opinion). The Wine Room in Delray is the location for a Valentine’s Day dinner.

10. Buccan

Buccan is a lovely, charming restaurant in the heart of Palm Beach with all the feel-good foods. My husband and I dined here for our wedding anniversary and we really enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance is very down-to-earth and boho at the same time. Buccan is down the street from the iconic shopping district Worth Avenue and seconds away from the ocean. Impress your Valentine with a trip to Buccan.

11. YOLO

With a trendy name like YOLO, I know this place would be anything but ordinary. New American cuisine plus an edgy vibe go hand in hand, right on Las Olas (the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale). YOLO is a local favorite that everyone try at least once. *Dinner attire is expected at this location.

12. Serena Rooftop

So beautiful, so colorful – seriously, this is absolutely a vibe! Serena is an open-air rooftop lounge and restaurant (totally Instagram-worthy). Perfect for Valentine’s and Galentine’s day! Serena specializes in Latin and Mexican cuisine and is located inside Moxy South Beach Hotel. Don’t worry about parking, they offer validated valet for their guests! I don’t know about you, but I am certainly nudging my hubby to take me here 🙂

13. Thrōw Social

Throw Social is a super trendy, tropical venue in downtown Delray with yummy bites, pretty drinks, and live music. The fun doesn’t stop there – they have axe throwing, darts, bungalows, and cabana seating available. You’ll immediately notice the pink and green themes (hello flamingos, pineapples, and palms trees) adorned all throughout. I took my hubby here recently for his birthday, invited some friends and we hung out all night. Note: this location is not as “romantic” as some of the others, but it’s more of a fun night out. This is a great option for Valentine’s Day fun – food, drinks, and entertainment all in one!

14. Jaya at the Setai

Jaya is a lovely, opulent restaurant located inside the Setai Hotel in South Beach. If you’re looking for a romantic venue and an unforgettable evening, Jaya is the place for you. Jaya offers live entertainment and performances for their dining guests (such as contortionists, jazz bands, lion dances, and more!) They take pride in Asian culture and you will see that they offer an extensive pan-Asian menu. The Setai is a 5-star hotel, we feel confident that Jaya is nothing short of amazing!
