Summer is ending, kids are back to school, and fall is fast approaching. And you know what that means… pumpkin patches and fall festivals, oh my!

Who doesn’t love the fall? Cooler weather (well, maybe a smidge), color changes, and pumpkin spice lattes get most of us pretty excited. Fall is my absolute favorite season and for selfish reasons too. My birthday is on Halloween (spooky baby over here!) and I just love the weather in Florida this time of year.

One of my favorite things to do with the family is taking the kids to local farms and pumpkin patches. Before having kids I hardly ever went to pumpkin patches. Not because I didn’t want to, but because we were so busy working on our business we just didn’t have time or give it much thought. With two kids in tow, we are always looking to give them a cool, unique experience that, hopefully, they will remember well into adulthood!

Alright, so let’s get into it! Here are the best pumpkin patches for families here in South Florida!

1. Bedner’s Farm

10066 Lee Road, Boynton Beach, FL 33473

A local favorite is Bedner’s Fresh Farm Market! They have multiple locations, however, their pumpkin patch (Fall Festival) can be seen at their Boynton location. Every year from September 22 through October 31, Bedner’s hosts its annual Fall Festival. It’s more than just a pumpkin patch – it’s a true experience on a real farm! Corn mazes, tractor rides, homemade ice cream, need I say more?! Kids 2 and under are free, while everyone else will be $22 per person. Go early and treat this like a getaway and take lots of photos!

2. Family Farms Inc (U-Pick)

14950 SW 14th St, Davie, FL 33326

Family Farms Inc is a really cool experience for kids and families. They exist to help the community experience farm life. Things you can do here include hayrides, petting zoos, bonfires, and fitness classes! Additionally, they offer after-school services and summer camp. Family Farms is pet-friendly so feel free to bring furry friends!

3. Pinto’s Farm

Check out Pinto’s Farm for a true fall experience. There is something here for everyone: tractor ride, pony ride, animals, magic shows, race track, and of course PUMPKINS! Free parking is available here. The good news is you can visit this Farm year-round for unlimited rides and be sure to check out their delicious strawberry smoothies! And, they are pet-friendly so bring your furry friends!

4. Flamingo Road Nursery

1655 S Flamingo Rd, Davie, FL

This local beauty transforms its 10-acre garden center into a beautiful fall extravaganza! Featured here at this patch are cornstalks, hay bales, pumpkins, and of course scarecrows! Every year Flamingo Road Nursery hosts its annual fall festival from the end of September to the first week of November. Come join the fun!

5. Mr. Jack O’Lanterns Pumpkin Patch

419 Lakeview Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33401

Bounce houses, pumpkin decorating, and pumpkin bowling – need we say more? Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns is the perfect experience for families. Lots of activities and things to do here, Mr. Jack wants to make sure everyone has fun!

6. Boca Raton Pumpkin Patch Festival

590 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, FL 33432

The Boca Raton Pumpkin Patch Festival is taking place this year at the Mizner Park Amphitheatre on October 15-16! Here is what you can expect at the festival: corn maze, photo ops, scarecrow village, carnival, and beer bars. Oh, and there is pumpkin decorating too! Free parking is available at garages A, B, C, and D or you can street park for an additional cost.

7. St. Peter’s UMC Annual Pumpkin Patch

12200 Forest Hill Blvd, Wellington, FL 33414

Pumpkin Patch at St Peters UMC

An adorable family-friendly patch is located right here in Wellington at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church! Every year in October St. Peter’s UMC hosts its annual Pumpkin Patch. Their event is actually a fundraiser and all the proceeds benefit their children and youth programs. Things do to here include kid-friendly music/games, homemade pumpkin bread, and even pumpkin chess! Bring the whole neighborhood for some outdoor fun and make fond memories.

Conclusion:

As you can see there are several amazing pumpkin patches and fall festivals to choose from here in South Florida. I made sure to include patches in all three counties (Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade). What’s your family tradition? Where’s your favorite pumpkin patch? Let us know in the comments!
